Let’s start off with the easy part. “I wish to” can mean the same as “I want to” but it is much, much more formal and much, much less common. You can also use “wish” with a noun to “offer good wishes”. Notice that when you want to offer good wishes using a verb, you must use “hope” and not “wish”. However, the main use of “wish” is to say that we would like things to be different from what they are, that we have regrets about the present situation.
I need someone to show me
… where is it all gone? I don’t see it anymore, I see people on the social websites falling apart, in and out of relationships on a weekly basis lately. It’s all become so false, so empty. It does not mean anything to anyone anymore.
the things in life that I can’t find
… oh yes there is so much I’m looking for? And even looking back trying to bring it back from my past, I find it is not there anymore. Empty and cold I find everyone playing games with a precious gift, something that is rare, something that has become very valuable, worth more than anything on earth.
You tell me to enjoy life
… have things really degraded that far? Now it is about survival, gain, greed and pleasure. How can you enjoy life without the steady embrace from another feeding your soul when the world digs it’s nails into you.
I wish I could but it’s too late
… now I’m getting older and I have realised that I have not lived yet, should I jump in and play with everyone? Become as cold and as reckless as they are? I do not think I can do that … there is not way I can do that. To find what I’m looking for, what I need seems impossible, the world has out grown my standards and dreams.
Make a joke and I will sigh and you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel and love to me us so unreal
Can you help me occupy my brain?
